The goal of the Reception Desk project was to create a piece that follows ADA standards in a professional setting. The desk is divided by the wheelchair-accessible height and the transaction counter side. The privacy panels attached to the desk are meant to hide clutter while blending into the facade. The desk is curved and has a fluted veneer reveals with backlighting to create visual interest. The use of different millwork joinery was explored to understand the construction process thoroughly. The model was created in Sketchup and rendered in Enscape. The millwork package was completed in AutoCAD and consists of the plan view, elevations, sections, praline drawings, and details.
