The Retail Display Case project goal was to explore millwork design and materials used in a commercial setting. The Display Case was designed to display men’s luxury watches. It embodies an industrial style by using dark accents and natural wood tones. The 3-D sketch develops the dimensions and materials prior to creating the millwork drawing package. The model is constructed out of balsa wood, wood dowels, plastic, and wood glue. The display case detailed drawings were completed in AutoCAD. The materiality and construction are further developed, as well as any operable parts such as doors and glass access.
